An emergency can arise at any time, and not all dental offices offer emergency care. A dental emergency may include an injury, infection, swelling, or pain in the oral cavity, and if this condition continues to worsen, it is important to contact our office immediately. During regular business hours, we can help work you into the schedule as soon as possible. If you are calling after hours, you will be prompted to leave a message on our emergency message center, and the doctor will call you back.
What Is A Dental Emergency?
A dental emergency can constitute a number of different conditions, from a cracked or broken tooth to sudden discomfort, bleeding, swelling, or accidental trauma to your soft oral tissues. In the event a tooth is broken and/or dislodged and you can locate the structure(s), do so and make sure you do not remove any attached tissue before storing in an air-tight container and bringing it with you to your visit. When you have a dental emergency, it’s important that you seek attention as soon as possible.
